# How do I cancel my account?

Cancel stops payment. It does not delete your account.

## Stop paying

1. Open [billing](https://mailer.promo.ly/billing).
2. Click **Cancel subscription**.

Your login, campaigns, private list, and files stay.

## Pause instead

Some accounts can pause from billing instead of cancelling. If you see pause, you can take a break for up to 3 months. If you don't, cancel is the stop-paying path.

## Delete is a different action

To remove the account and the data on it, use **Delete account** on the same billing page. That is not the same as cancel.
