# Sender Profiles

A sender profile is the name, and optionally the logo, recipients see on your promos. If you run more than one label or manage several artists, create a profile for each one and pick the right profile when you set up a campaign.

## What recipients see

Every promo is sent from **content@promolymail.com**. Your sender profile's name is the display name, so a DJ sees your label or artist name in their inbox with content@promolymail.com as the address behind it. If you've uploaded a logo for the profile, it appears in the promo email. Otherwise the email shows the Promoly logo.

Fan campaigns use their own address, **news@fm.promo.ly**, with the same sender name. Fan mail stays on a separate address so it doesn't affect how your promos reach DJs.

## Sending from your own domain

You can't send from your own domain today, so there's no domain to authenticate. Promoly sends every email from its own addresses and handles the sending setup for them. You don't need to add DKIM or SPF records to your DNS.

Your sender profile sets the name recipients see. It doesn't change the sending address.

## Helping your promos reach the inbox

Ask your recipients to add **content@promolymail.com** to their contacts or safe senders list. For fan campaigns, the address to add is **news@fm.promo.ly**. For more tips, see [My promos are going to SPAM](https://support.promo.ly/en/article/my-promos-are-going-to-spam-ujxcuj/).

## Replies to your promos

Replies to your promos are forwarded to the **Reply forwarding email** on the sender profile you used. The forwarded message comes from replies@promolymail.com. Hit reply in your own inbox and your answer goes straight to the DJ.

Forwarding runs every hour, so a reply usually reaches you within an hour. Promoly matches each reply to its promo using the quoted original message. A reply that leaves the original out can't be forwarded.

Your reply forwarding email isn't shown in your promo emails.

## Creating a sender profile

1. Go to [Sender Profiles](https://mailer.promo.ly/profiles) in the Promoly dashboard.
2. Click **Add New**.
3. Fill in the form:
   * **Sender name** (required): the name recipients see in their inbox, such as your label or artist name.
   * **Reply forwarding email** (required): where Promoly forwards replies to your promos.
   * **Facebook URL**, **Twitter URL**, **Instagram URL**, **Spotify URL**, **Soundcloud URL**, **YouTube URL**, **Bandcamp URL**, **Custom Website URL**, and **Podcast URL** (optional): links to your pages.
   * **Facebook Pixel ID** (optional): see the Facebook pixel section below.
4. Click **Save**.

To add a logo, click **Update Logo** on the profile card and choose an image.

## Editing a sender profile

1. Go to [Sender Profiles](https://mailer.promo.ly/profiles).
2. Click **Edit** on the profile you want to change.
3. Update the details and click **Save**.

## Choosing a profile for a campaign

In the campaign editor, pick the profile from the **Sender** menu. When you send a promo, the final confirmation shows the sender name and the address replies are forwarded to.

## Facebook pixel

Each sender profile has a **Facebook Pixel ID** field. If you manage multiple brands, give each profile its own pixel so campaign data goes to the right Facebook account.

For setup steps, see [Setting up Facebook pixels](https://support.promo.ly/en/article/setting-up-facebook-pixels-l8emzv/).

## Profile limits

The number of sender profiles included depends on your plan: Trial 1, Starter 1, Basic 2, Pro 3, Premium 7 and Label 15. If you need more than your plan includes, add the **Additional Profiles** add-on from the [billing page](https://mailer.promo.ly/billing). Each extra profile is £3 per month, it's available on any plan, and there's no limit on how many you add.
