Adding contacts to groups

You can do this via different routes:

Within the 'subscribers' dash, click '+' to add a new contact.

Fill out the form and select 'groups' located at the bottom. You can add them to an individual to multiple groups if necessary.

For single contacts:

Within the 'subscribers' dash, select the contact, click 'multi-group assignment' icon and then select the appropriate group.

What is the promo pool?

We are doing hard work behind the scenes gathering relevant DJ, blog, and press contacts who are looking for fresh content. These contacts are free for you to import into your list inside promoly. All subscribers have opted-in to receive music from our users.

What about the list quality?

We can maintain a high-quality list by requiring all candidates to fill out a thorough sign-up form. This sifts out the majority of low-quality submissions. We do what we can, but we still encourage you to review each contact for yourself before deciding to import them to your list.

How often is it updated?

This list is updated every few weeks. Who has access to it? The list is only available to active Promoly Basic, Unlimited, and Custom tier Promoly Members.

I’m a Promoly user. Do you share my contacts with other people?

Absolutely not. We take customer privacy and security very seriously. The contacts on this page have been acquired using channels utterly separate from the Promoly system.

Where do the contacts come from?

We occasionally put out a growth-oriented campaign bulletin which rapidly brings in new applicants. We also connect with others in the music industry, directly, on a regular basis, through events, or other business ventures which will lead us to get them on the list. Why have my files been deleted?

If you cancel your payed Promoly account and don't login for several months, your files may be deleted to save server space. Your stats and campaigns are unaffected. To resume a promo, click ‘edit’ on the campaign and re-upload your files.

Question 5

My promos are going to SPAM

Accepted Answer

Your promos should not be going to your recipient’s SPAM folder. One of the main reasons this may happen is because spam filtering has become more meticulous. Email providers are attempting to eliminate spam by tightening their filters. However, the filters aren’t always 100% accurate, so occasionally legitimate promos go to spam too. If you encounter your promos landing in SPAM, please message us on chat, and we’ll check things out for you.

Tips for keeping out for SPAM:

Don't include lots of html links in your press release information. The more you add the more the email clients will check.
Think about your wording. If you are using lots of spammy words, the email clients will associate your promo as spam. Here's a good guide.
Ask your recipients to whitelist content@promolymail.com
Ask your recipients to move any promos landing in spam to their inboxes.
