Why have my files been deleted?
If you haven’t logged into Promo.ly for several months, your files may be deleted to save server space. Your stats and campaigns are unaffected. To resume a promo, click ‘edit’ on the campaign and re-upload your files.
How do I upload music?
During campaign creation, you'll see a 'tracks' button in the middle of the screen. Select 'tracks', then 'select file' and browse for your audio. audio upload
How do I upload artwork?
During campaign creation, click ‘select image’ under the packshot image. Select your artwork and press upload. Please note; we recommend the image to be square 72 DPI and minimum 500×500 pixels
If your uploads are slow, there could be many factors to take into consideration — for example, slow internet, browser plugin conflict, incorrect file type or Promoly’s servers may be under stress. If this happens, we recommend logging out and back in again to see if that resolves the problem. If it doesn’t, try logging into Promoly using an incognito browser. How do I schedule a campaign to be sent to multiple groups at different times?
To send separate campaigns, duplicate the campaign (there is a copy button). To segment your list, go into Mailing List Groups on the left menu and create a group and then go into Mailing List, and add specific recipients to that group. Then you can send the new campaign to that group. I would recommend you name the original copy of the campaign in a way that lets you know which segment/group the campaign is for. How do reminders work?
We continuously experiment with reminders to find the best time to send them, but currently, they are sent out after four days to all recipients who have not listened to our downloaded at least one track on the campaign. We want to eventually allow users to adjust this setting themselves in the future and to automatically throttle how often a recipient receives emails (while prioritising new promo sends). Our campaign creation process is straightforward and needn’t take more than a few minutes. This is how you create your first campaign. After logging in to admin.promo.ly, click ‘create new campaign’ at the top of the admin panel. A popup page creation form will appear. You may first upload a header image. With Promoly, you can create as many campaigns as humanly possible. Some people like to create one per month. Others create multiple variations depending on the audience. The choice is yours.
